Ontario High School Class of 1965
60th Birthday Party Celebration Reunion (42nd Reunion)
June 29 – July 1, 2007
Leading up to the 2007 reunion, we found the whereabouts of 84% of our 207 classmates, with 152 found and 22 deceased. 83 of us were in Ontario attending this year's 42nd / 60th birthday party reunion!
On Friday night, June 29, we met at the Holiday Inn for our first event, a "social – mixer.” The social-mixer was such a hit that even though the event was scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, people didn't start adjourning until 10:00 pm, with the event not finally expiring until after midnight!
Saturday evening, June 30, the 60th Birthday Party Celebration Reunion, held at the Three Rivers Cultural Center and Museum, was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all! For those of you who could not attend, we, of course, missed you tremendously!
A wonderful prime rib and salmon meal was served. Although, Terry
Henson was jokingly overheard asking, "Where's the hamburger and
fries?" Max Brittingham did a masterful job of serving as Master of
Ceremonies for the after- dinner storytelling, with many, many classmates spinning hilarious tales of yesteryear.
The Skip Bicknese (on the keyboards) and Bob Kudrna (on the steel
guitar) band, "Skip and Dr. Bob's 60s Rock 'n Roll Country Western
Band," did a beautiful job of playing oldies that many of us danced
the night away to! All of us were engaged in conversations throughout
the evening that lasted until well after midnight (editorial comment:
long after most of our bedtimes).
Sunday morning, we closed the weekend with breakfast at Ontario High
School. Then, each of us made our ways home – many no further than Ontario, or across the border into Idaho, while many others returned to Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, Arizona, California, Wyoming, Utah, Washington, and Central, Southern and Western Oregon.
